For 25 years, I was a classroom teacher. During that time, I was fortunate enough to be recognized as a National Board Certified Teacher and a Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Math and Science. But the real reward was seeing my students succeed.

I believe strongly in the power of parent-teacher partnerships. To foster these connections, I started each school year with home visits. It was a great way to get to know my students and their families on a deeper level. I also spearheaded a community project to support families in need, because I knew that kids can’t learn if their basic needs aren’t met.

Over the years, I crafted learning experiences that ignited curiosity and inspired even the most reluctant learners. By building on their interests and strengths, I helped them develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong love of learning.

To fill a gap in high-quality early childhood science education, I co-founded Go2Science with my partner, Curtis. Together, we've traveled the globe, filming real-world science adventures that inspire kids and transform classrooms. Our work has been featured in several publications, and I'm excited to share more about it in the upcoming book, Active Learning.

But I’m not stopping there. I’m eager to connect with families once again and help children reach their full potential. Let’s work together to create a brighter future for our kids.
